Decorating National Archive Museum

A party held in this beautiful building, yet with peculiar theme: China meets Java. I tried hard not to spoil the beauty  of the building but could meet the client's request. So here's what I came up with.

Janur and Javanese Style, A Story of Endless Inspiration

Janur, the premature coco leaf, has a long history in Indonesian art and culture. Javanese, especially, has mastered in this field, and no event is complete without this craft work. Having Javanese blood running in my vein, I got this special romantic feeling upon this matter. And oh how I love to put that little golden accessories and woven strands of jasmines as the flower ornament.

The Javanese House That We Built

Not a real house, unfortunately, but this is a set we made for Bank Mandiri, who held an open-house for celebrating Eid. We put all the details possible to create the mood, while giving it a little twist as well.

Ice Cream Parlor, A Step Back In Time

Not too far from Tugu Train Station, Yogyakarta, still standing an old ice cream parlor since its first opened in 1934. Perhaps it has long lost its heyday, but the feeling is still there. The taste, the flavor, the texture and the process of making it remains the same.

Once you step in, they'll bring you back to the past.

Fort Vredeburg

 Had a nice time in a quick stop to this fort for a lunch - during my last short trip to Yogyakarta. Made some snaps which, I hope, will make you wanting to visit this beautiful fort.
