People of Tanimbar

Not much chance to meet locals,... until when we were taking pictures of the bridge, some half drunk drivers asked me to take picture of them. Took some shots, but when I asked them where should I send  the picture, they were hesitated.. oh well, hope they read my blog :-)

Another chance was when we have to wait for our plane. I saw some students going back from school, and they watched me with my camera excitedly. I guess it's my luck.

Another Day In Our Life

It's just another day. What makes it a little bit different is because it's in Bali. Where prayers and offerings are a simple daily rituals, although it might seems elaborate - something that makes most of us overwhelmed. But not for balinese.

Happy Easter!

Easter has just passed, but I do hope the joy of spring is still around.
Here I present you a little tablescape ( is there such word? I just made it up... LOL) we made yesterday for easter brunch, for some kids who were lucky enough to meet the winners of Australian Junior Master Chefs that you might have seen on TV. I covered the long log table with moss and put some little things with picnic theme. Put some faux trees here and there to create an outdoorsy mood. Hope you like it. Oh, and Happy Easter once again, for those little bunnies that are still there, in the corner of your heart!

Holding Hands

Barbara Streisand - Somewhere
Found at abmp3 search engine

There's a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and were half way there
Just hold my hand and I'll take you there
Somehow...
Someday, somewhere...

Let's Play!

I remember how it feels like to be a child: nothing to worry and nothing to be fear of but the monster under the bed :-)
Really wish I could have one more chance to be a kid and do foolish things like we used to do, once. Don't you wish the same thing, too?

What a happy man you'd be, if you could still have a piece of your childhood in your heart.

Pasar Malam

" Every day offers you 10,000 reasons to cry,
but if you can find just one reason to laugh
then you will be alright "
                                 - Maya Angelou

Here come the festivities: music, balloons, carousel and laughters.
Let's forget all the suffer for a while and enjoy the night.

Be it sad or happy, these pictures are the story of our childhood.
A piece of life that we might have put in the corner of our heart and left forgotten.

Life on The Street

He's our future. Like it or not.
Aren't we supposed to do something about it?
Tomorrow might be a little late though...
