Lunch By The Sea

It's not the most superb lunch I've ever had. It's a humble one, in fact. We were invited by a fisherman's family in Singaraja to join them for lunch. And this was what we've got.

Freshly catched fish, grilled. Sambal chili sauc a la minute, mixed with home-made hot coconut oil. Mango salad bought nearby, and warm white rice. Sounds yummy no?
No.
But what makes it delicious is the sincerity, the warmth, their genuine welcome.

Tuak - fermented palm juice to finish the meal...
they bought it at IDR60,000 per gallon, that they'll finish  in a second.

This is the entertainment and companion during the luncheon.
Watching us having our meals, next to us
